Man Drowns During Water Rescue Of Group In Swatara Creek: PA State Police

A 42-year-old man has died after a struggle in Swatara Creek, Pennsylvania state police say.

Emergency crews were called to the water rescue at the creek just north of Jonestown Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 24, according to a release by the police.

Upon arrival, four people were seen struggling in the creek. A 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were rescued and taken to Hershey Medical Center with minor injuries, police say.

A 60-year-old woman was taken to Hershey Medical Center and is in critical condition, according to authorities.

The 42-year-old man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon City where he was pronounced dead, according to a release by state police.
